EXTRA WORK: DENSITY

As we have learned in class, some objects sink and other float. This is because of their DENSITY. Densitiy is the concentration of matter in a particular volume of an object.

For this extra work, I want you to carry out a brief experiment at home. All you need are some materials and a big bowl of water.
Find as many of these materials as you can find at home:

- A 1€ coin, an ice cube, an empty bottle of water, an eraser, a paperclip, a cork stopper and a 100€ bill (joking)

Check if these objects float or sink when you put them in water, write the results and bring them to class with PROOF that you have done the experiment (photos, video, ....)

Why do some objects float? Why do others sink?
Share you answers with the class!
